Welcome to my online resume and portfolio website.
Currently working as a staff writer on the business/technology magazine IT PRO and previously a news editor on a German (but English-language) business daily news product, I'm an experienced editor, subeditor, writer and designer.
I've written -- either as a freelancer, staff writer or intern -- for many other publications, including Zero, Ethical Corporation, the New Statesman, Balance, Northern Horse Review, FFWD, the Calgary Herald and the Gauntlet.
I've written features, news articles, columns and reviews on music, movies and other culture; business, finance and corporate social responsibility; the internet and new media; politics and crime; the environment; mental health issues; and horses. I have my MA in journalism from Goldsmiths College in London and my BA in Political Science from the University of Calgary in Canada. I was one of the top students in my MA program and the top subeditor. For more details on my work and educational experience, please see my CV.
If you have any problems navigating this site, it may be because it was designed using CSS, which (apparently) some older browsers don't quite like. And sadly, it never looks quite right in Firefox.
